A native of Bucharest, Romania, Ioana has a diverse background ranging from Gymnastics, to Ballet to Finance and Economics. Early in her career, Ioana moved to the United States, bringing with her a strong work discipline crafted as a result of her achievements in gymnastics, professional ballet, and a thorough grounding in economics as a result of her diverse and intense European education.
Being an alumna of the International Baccalaureate program and University of Economics and Business gave her a strong foundation in the workings of World Economics, Business, International Relations and Finance. In the United States, she built on that knowledge by mastering Banking, Business and Finance. Entering the world of American Banking industry, Ioana excelled covering retail and private banking, business development, portfolio management, financial analysis, strategic planning, operations, public relations and executive management, as well as mergers, acquisitions and contract negotiation.
Ioana's excellence in business earned her the prestigious International Woman in Business award from the Romanian Consulate in the USA, early upon her arrival to the States, as well as Excellence in Leadership award, later into her career as an Executive Banker. Ioana also takes pride in her various volunteer experience and causes. They include being a member of the Scholars Council for the George Snow Scholarship Fund, Director for the South Palm Beach board of the American Cancer Society, Investigator for Human Rights Watch, and a lifetime UNICEF member.
Ioana’s interests include women’s rights, social issues, international economics, languages, education, and – of course- dance.
